Cannery Village
Taking design (and name) cues from old industrial sections of seaside cities (like Cannery Row in Monterrey, CA), these apartments are anything but industrial. Sure, corrugated metal is by far the most widely used material on the exterior façade, but the funky, jutting, and at times offset footprints of the individual apartment buildings are decidedly post-modern, and conducive only to residential uses. Apartments facing the Pacific Ocean maximize their views with picture windows that also help illuminate the interiors. (2017)
