Home Savings and Loan

Like so many of Sheets’ Home Savings designs, this Garden Grove iteration makes the most of its minimalist aesthetic. Marble panels reach from floor to ceiling, and are only interrupted by strong vertical elements on the exterior, like full-length windows, and the customary front-door mural. This mural features agricultural laborers, an obvious nod to the locality’s agricultural roots. The perfect symmetry found on the front elevation is also unique considering most Home Savings banks were on corner lots. (2018)
